Be thrilled by the fun and action at Aussie World

Fun on the dodgem cars at Aussie World.

If you’re looking for thrills and excitement right here on the Sunshine Coast, look no further than Aussie World. The Sunny Coast’s only theme park offers so much fun it’s definitely not to be missed!

Located just off the Bruce Highway at Glenview, Aussie World boasts a fantastic range of rides, ranging from classic carousels, tea cups and the Little Beaut Toot Toot train for the younger ones, all the way up to the heart-racing SX360 which is sure to give even the most hardened teenager or adult a thrill.

The SX360 is actually Australia’s tallest and fastest 360-degree pendulum, and reaches speeds of up to 80km/h while launching 32 metres into the air and completing 360° inversions. Talk about thrilling!

Our family loves all of the rides Aussie World offers. Some of our highlights include the Bombora Bounce ride, the classic log ride The Plunge, the always popular dodgems, the curious maze-like experience of Professor Bogglesworth’s Illusionarium, and the Bug Run roller coaster created especially for the little ones. (Shh, don’t tell anyone, but our whole family still LOVES the Bug Run!)

Aussie World Dingo Racer
Aussie World – Dingo Racer

But the opening Dingo Racer spinning coaster (pictured) is our favourite. The ride sees your coaster car spin around 360 degrees as it races around the winding track at up to 72km/h and reaches a height of 14 metres. It’s incredibly fun and addictive! It quickly became our new favorite ride, with just the right amount of thrills and excitement, so you enjoy every moment. It was so much fun we immediately went on again!

One of the best things about Aussie World is that you hardly ever have to line up. In all the times we’ve visited over the years, we’ve never encountered long queues for any of the rides. Instead, you spend the day having a fantastic time on all of the rides. Any parent will tell you that’s worth its weight in gold when visiting with impatient little ones or tetchy teenagers!

A few years ago, we filmed our experience at Aussie World as part of the Family Travel (previously known as Bound Round) Families of Australia inflight TV program with Virgin Australia. The kids have grown up a little since then, and Aussie World has only improved with the addition of several new rides, but the video still captures the fun and excitement of a day at Aussie World.
